On campus I hold the job as the Head Bell Ringer in Gunnison Memorial Chapel. I ring the Bells from 5:00 until 5:30 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays. I began apprenticing as a Bell Ringer my Freshman year and have been the Head Bell Ringer both my Junior and Senior year. Ringing the Chapel Bells at St. Lawrence has been a tradition in my family and I follow my Grandfather ’47, Great Uncle ’51 and my Father ’81 who all rang the bells in the Chapel. Ringing the Bells is one of the most fun jobs on campus, and the Bell Tower is always open to visitors while the Bells are being played.
At St. Lawrence I am an Economics major, but I have also taken many courses in Art, Religious Studies and Canadian Studies. During my Junior spring I studied abroad at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago where I studied Trinidadian history and Culture, Steel Pan(Drum), and Caribbean Drumming.
After Graduation I hope to travel around the United States and other regions of the world before settling down in a career in Business Management or Economic Development.
