The St. Lawrence program in Canada is a logical complement to the Canadian studies department. Students (not necessarily those pursuing a Canadian studies combined major) may participate for either the fall or spring semester or for the entire academic year. Most have studied at McGill University in Montréal, but arrangements may be made at several universities across Canada. For example, students have recently spent time at Laval University in Québec City and Carleton University in Ottawa. In addition, the program has a standing arrangement with Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, where qualified students may pursue a diploma in Canadian studies while concurrently fulfilling their St. Lawrence degree requirements. Interested students should see the department chair for more details.
