St. Lawrence interns are dynamic, energetic individuals who can contribute a fresh perspective and provide temporary assistance with special projects. For employers, this represents a valuable opportunity to "try out" students as potential employees with little or no risk.
Because the academic year at St. Lawrence follows a traditional, two-semester calendar, Career Services suggests two different options for internships: January recess (approximately 3 to 4 weeks) and/or Summer (up to 12 weeks). You may also choose to design a program option that complements your organization's schedule.
If an internship is unpaid, it must meet the six criteria required by the US Department of Labor. See the National Association of Colleges and Employers Position Statement on US Internships for further details.
Once we receive your internship description our staff will market your opportunity to the campus community. Interested students will contact you directly or we can establish a more formal Resume Referral and collect application materials for you. Additionally, to arrange on-campus interviews, contact Career Services.
