I want to assure you that being a Math Major and an English Major is not as strange as it sounds, although I haven't declared the former because I'm scared that putting the two together on a transcript might crash a computer.  But as much as I love telling people why I think the two subjects are really weird twins (Doppelgängers?  Which one is evil?), I'll just say that I find Math practical and English enjoyable.  I've always been in love with the idea of someone who writes stories for a living, especially with a nice, big typewriter (and, in some iterations, a bottle of Scotch).  If I had my choice, I'd be doing that; if I were really fortunate, I'd be making movies.  But those aren't exactly viable career options.

After I graduate, I'll probably end up going to Grad School for Math, or maybe working a job entirely unrelated to my degree.  To be perfectly honest, I have no idea.  A similar uncertainty brought me to St. Lawrence, and I wouldn't be terribly surprised if, much in the way I just happened to end up here, I find myself inexplicably in the next part of my life.  Somewhere down the line I might be a professor, or maybe a librarian if that's still a thing.  Regardless of what I end up doing, I hope to enjoy it .  If not, I can always buy a typewriter.
