Two academic journals have published articles recently by Assistant Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures Zhenjun Zhang.
"Buddhist Impact on the Creation of New Fictional Figures and Images in the You ming lu," was published in the Sungkyun Journal of East Asian Studies (Seoul) vol. 10, no. 2 (October 2010).
The Tale of Huo Xiaoyu," a translation with detailed annotations and a critical "Translator's Note," was published in Tang Dynasty Tales: A Guided Reader, William H. Nienhauser, Jr., ed. (Singapore: World Scientific Publishing Co., 2010).
Zhang teaches languages courses in Chinese, as well as a course on the culture of China. A faculty member at St. Lawrence since 2008, he is a graduate of Zhengzhou University, with master's degrees from Peking University and University of Wisconsin-Madison. Zhang earned the Ph.D. from Wisconsin in 2007.
