I am currently a graduating senior. Throughout all four years, I have run cross-country and track for St. Lawrence. During my freshman year at SLU, I became a tour guide for the office of admissions – a position that I held until my senior year. During my sophomore year I was also a general chemistry peer workshop leader and since my junior year I have tutored organic chemistry and been a TA for the lab as well. I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark in the spring of my junior year through SLU’s association with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS). As for summer research, I spent the summer after my freshman year at home in Concord, NH working at New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services with the Volunteer Lake Assessment Program training volunteers how to sample their lakes and ponds and testing the samples in the lab for biological and chemical parameters. The summer after my sophomore year I participated in the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at Carnegie Mellow University. This past summer, after my junior year, I received a SLU Fellowship and Crowell Summer Field Award to conduct research both on campus and at Friday Harbor Laboratory in Friday Harbor, WA.
