As a writer I have always been fascinated with how the written word is translated into images -- on the screen as well as the stage. It wasn't until the spring semester of my freshman year in a course entitled Film Noir: Darkside of Cinema that I was drawn to film as an area of study. Teeming with history, psychology, politics, and symbolism, that reflect the ideologies of different people, places, and eras.

As the years have passed I have collaborated on a few film projects with my peers, as well as studied Australian cinema in the Australia Spring 2009 Abroad Program. Film continues to inspire my written work and projects in both the academic and private sphere.
