Melina has been working at EF Education in the adult division of travel, Go Ahead Tours for a year and half. As a tour consultant, her role is to work with adults who are interested in travel and find the right tour for them. Her goal is to send adults on the trip of their lifetime; but, also focus on the educational value of every destination offered such as Kenya, Costa Rica, France, Italy and many more. She encourages people to explore and learn about the different cultures they encounter while traveling throughout the world. In the past year and a half, Melina has had the opportunity to travel to Vienna, Budapest, Prague and most recently, Paris. Her passion for travel is evident in her professional and personal life. In October of 2009, she and her sister camped and backpacked in the Grand Canyon for a week. Being a Sociology major at St. Lawrence played a large role in her current job and personal life. During her senior year, she completed her thesis titled, The Influence of Globalization and Capitalism on the Urban Development of Florence, Italy. Having studied in Florence her junior year, she was encouraged by her sociology professors to combine her passion for travel with what she had learned in the classroom. At St. Lawrence, the opportunities are endless.
