St. Lawrence University was named to The Princeton Review’s “Best 390 Colleges” list for 2025. Based solely on results from student surveys, the popular rankings publication once again recognized several exemplary aspects of co-curricular and academic life on campus.

On Sunday, May 19, the Class of 2024 will collect their diplomas and walk across the Commencement stage toward their shining futures—but they've already had some practice handling star power. It just so happens that their graduation year aligns with one of the most spectacular events in St. Lawrence history.
On April 29th, 2024 students, faculty, staff, and community members gathered in Eben Holden to listen to the annual Richard D. Church Lecture in Neuroscience presented by Jaime Ross, Ph.D. The title of the lecture was “A Multifaceted Approach to Understanding Aging and Neurodegenerative Disease.”
Faculty members put their knowledge into action so students and others are able to benefit from it. Recently, faculty have presented at conferences, been featured as experts in regional, national and international media sources, published articles, presented research, and much more.
St. Lawrence University announces its 2023-24 Moving-Up Day academic award winners, as well as Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa’s newest inductees.
Professor of Biology Erika Barthelmess and four of her research students presented at the 2024 Northeast Natural History Conference on 20-21 April in Albany, New York. The team presented three posters, including one co-authored by Assistant Professor of the Math, Computer Science, and Statistics Department Matt Higham. Attending, in addition to Barthelmess, were Marliese Baer '24, Olivia Bernier '24, Kelsey Similer '25 and Jessica Harman '27.
Olivia Bernier '25 delivered a poster titled “Determinants of Forest Health in St. Lawrence County, New York” at the Northeast Natural History Conference in Albany, New York. In the poster, Olivia presented a subset of the results of her senior project in which she is investigating forest health in five state forests near Canton, New York.
Kelsey Simler ’25 and Jessica Harman '27 presented their poster with preliminary results of a study investigating the effects of a total solar eclipse on the acoustic soundscape at the forest-wetland interface in St. Lawrence County, New York.
