David D. Christie '34

A standout baseball player, Dave Christie also made significant contributions to the St. Lawrence football and basketball teams during his undergraduate career.

He was a four year regular in both basketball and baseball and co-captained the basketball team as a senior. He was also president of the senior class, the secretary-treasurer of the Thelomathesian Society and a member of Kixioc.

He spent more than 30 years as an executive for Sylvania and played a major role during World War II in the development of the proximity fuse.
