A three-year regular as a catcher and first baseman for Division I LeMoyne, Christopher Haynes joins the Saint baseball staff as assistant coach.
A 2009 LeMoyne graduate, Haynes was a .290 career hitter for the Dolphins who scored 83 runs and drove in 83 runs in his career. He hit .353 as a junior with 11 doubles and seven homers, driving in 33 runs. He also had a perfect fielding percentage in 41 games as a junior.
Haynes earned scholar-athlete honors at both LeMoyne and
Fayetteville-Manlius High School wshere he was a baseball and basketball
athlete. He was the bullpen catcher for the Syracuse Chiefs of the
International League and was a baseball camp counselor at the LeMoyne College
baseball coach from 2006-2008.
