The first St. Lawrence team to earn an invitation to the four-team NCAA Championship, the 1951-52 team went 15-3 in the regular season and joined Yale, Colorado College and Michigan at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs for the semifinals and finals. SLU lost to Michigan, 9-3 in the semifinal and Yale 4-1 in the third-place game. Chester Stefanowicz, Brian McFarlane and scoring-leader Neale Langill were All Americas on the 1951-52 team.
