Saint Team, Courneene Gain USTFCCCA All Academic Honors

The Saint men's cross country team earned USTFCCCA All Academic honors

Feb. 22: St. Lawrence University's cross country teams each earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All Academic status and four individuals earned individual All Academic honors, based on grade point average and finish in the NCAA Regional Championships.


The Saint women's team had a 3.22 grade point average overall and were represented individually by juniors Ariel Beccia and Amy Cymerman and First Year Ella Martin. To qualify as individuals, athletes had to have a 3.3 or higher grade point average and finish in the top 35 in the NCAA Regional.

Cymerman was Liberty League Champion, NCAA Regional Champion, Liberty League Runner of the Year and the Atlantic Region Runner of the Year while Martin, the Liberty League Rookie of the Year had the best finish in SLU program history for a first-year runner in the NCAA Championships. She was fifth in the Atlantic Regional Championship while Beccia finished 29th to help the Saints to the team title.


The Saint men's team had a 3.189 grade point average to earn All Academic status and junior Brendan Courneene finished 29th in the regional championship to go with a GPA of 3.3 or higher to earn individual All Academic honors.
