2011-12: Patrick had a solid rookie season for the Saints, playing in 35 of 36 games and finishing his first collegiate season with six goals and five assists for 11 points. He had three power play goals and scored the game winning goals against RPI and Clarkson in the Lake Placid game. He also had an assist on the game-winner at Princeton.He earned ECAC Rookie of the Week honors Oct. 18 after scoring two goals against RIT..
One of two newcomers for the Saints from the EJHL Champion New Hampshire Monarchs, Patrick Doherty scored eight goals and had 22 assists for 30 points in 33 games for the Monarchs last season. He scored two power play goals, a shorthander and two game winning goals as the Monarchs went 38-4-2 to win the Northern Division and went on to win the playoff championship. A graduate of Hanover High School, he captained both his high school team and the Monarchs. He also played lacrosse in high school, helping his team to a state title.
