The most successful squash coach in St. Lawrence's history, Chris Abplanalp has completed nine seasons at the helm of the men's and women's programs after taking over in December of 2004.
Abplanalp, a five-time Liberty League Coach of the Year, led the 2012-13 men's team to its first-ever appearance in the Potter Cup Championship at the College Squash Association Nationals where it finished sixth in the nation, the program's highest ranking ever. The historic season also featured St. Lawrence's first CSA individual champion and All-American in Amr Khaled Khalifa and an unprecedented victory over Cornell University.Abplanalp has coached nine Liberty League major award winners and his players have been named All-Conference 45 times. The women's program continues to improve with a youthful roster and has reached as high as 12th nationally in 2005.
In addition to coaching squash at St. Lawrence, Chris is also a coach with Squash and Beyond World, working with young players, as well as professional players and coaches on international tours around the world. He is also a member of the CSA Executive Board.
A Canton, NY native, Chris graduated from Connecticut College, where he was an All-American and two-sport student-athlete. Prior to being named the Saints head squash coach, he spent several seasons as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at St. Lawrence. - Assistant Men's and Women's Squash Coach(315) 229-5707
Pamela Jimenez Larromana, a 2012 graduate of Trinity College, joined the St. Lawrence squash staff as an assistant coach in December of 2012.
Larromana was the number one junior national player in Mexico in all junior age rankings, GU-13 GU-15 GU-17 GU-19. The Puerto Vallarta, Mexico native also played in several international tournaments, making it to the semi-finals of the Canadian Junior Open GU-17. She was also a member of Mexico's National Junior team, winning gold and silver medals as a team in the Pan-American Junior Games in Guatemala and Ecuador. She also placed third at individuals.
At Trinity, she finished her four-year career with the Bantams with a 31-12 record and earned All-NESCAC recognition in 2009. She earned her degree in international studies.

Dr. John Bursnall will continue to serve as the men's and women's squash team's Faculty/Staff Mentor for the 2012-2013 season.
Dr. Bursnall was named Professor Emeritus in 2006, having completed an outstanding career in the Geology Department at St. Lawrence University.
Dr. Bursnall's areas of specialization include: Structural geology, tectonics, metamorphic and igneous petrology; deep crustal structure in the Canadian Shield; Northern Appalachian structure and tectonics; multiply deformed terranes; fault rocks.
