Stephanie Finn '11 was named Liberty League Co-Player of the Year in 2011.
The Sammis Tennis Courts are home to the Saints' men's and women's tennis squads.

St. Lawrence University's women's tennis team, a perennial powerhouse in the Liberty League, is also one of the top programs in the Northeast region of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, garnering end-of-the-year rankings in the top 25 since 2003.

The team returned to national prominence in the fall of 2005 when its number one doubles team represented St. Lawrence at the National Small College Championships. In 2007, the team made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Championships, repeating in 2008.

The Saints have been well represented with numerous Liberty League honors as well as individual ITA rankings in the Eastern Region.  Stephanie Finn '11 was most recently named the 2011 Liberty League Co-Player of the Year for her efforts throughout the season.  The team has also known success in the classroom, with many players receiving ITA Scholar-Athlete Awards.

The Saints play most of their regular-season schedule in the spring, beginning in Newell Field House, followed by a Spring Break trip to Orlando or another Southern location to meet top Division III competition. Dual-match competition continues on the outdoor Sammis Tennis Courts, or indoors.

The dual-match schedule includes conference rivals William Smith, Skidmore and Vassar, as well as Hamilton, Ithaca, Rochester and The College of New Jersey in a typical season. The team also competes yearly in the New York State Championships held at Cornell University in the fall, and in the Liberty League Championships in the spring. In addition, the team sends players to the ITA Northeast Regional Championships in the fall.

Facilities include five synthetic indoor courts, plus six outdoor lighted courts with stadium-style seating, newly resurfaced in the summer of 2010.
