Three members of the St. Lawrence swimming and diving program earned conference accolades this week including Sammi Moffitt, Alanna Blackburn and Billy Moran. Each had four individual victories over the weekend and contributed to relay wins as well. Meanwhile, Moran earned Diver of the Week honors on the men's side after sweeping the one and three meter boards in both meets.
The Saints' track and field teams added four Liberty League award winners this week. Jacob Fredericks and Vinny Maniscalco earned the men's Track Performer and Rookie of the Week, respectively. Fredericks broke his own St. Lawrence record in the 60 hurdles, running 8.42 (14th nationally), and ran a leg on the league-leading 4x400 relay. Maniscalco had an impressive showing at the SLU Invitational with several top-10 finishes and now leads all rookies in the conference in the 400m and triple jump.
On the women's side, Divya Biswal earned women's Field Performer of the Week after winning the triple jump with a mark of 11.31m in the SLU Invitational. She also added a second place showing in the long jump. Her teammate, Ella Martin, is the Rookie of the Week as she broke Wendy Pavlus' University record in the 3000m by nearly 3.0 seconds en route to a win in 10:06.25.
