Tousignant Goes 1-2 at Individual Nationals

March 2: Sophomore Brigette Tousignant fell in the consolation quarterfinals, concluding the CSA individual championships with a 1-2 record in Hartford, CT on Saturday.  

Saints Finish Third in Epps Cup

Feb. 15: The St. Lawrence University women's squash team, ranked #28 nationally, went 2-1 on the weekend to earn a third place finish in the Epps Cup of team nationals in New Haven, CT.  The Saints defeated #30 Georgetown by the score of 7-2 in the first day before losing to #27 William Smith, 6-3.  St. Lawrence topped #26 Boston College in the final day by the score of 7-2 for the third place finish. 

#11 Panthers Sweep Saints

Feb. 6:  The St. Lawrence University women's squash team, ranked #28 nationally, was swept #11 Middlebury, 9-0, in the Robie Squash Courts on Wednesday night.  The Saints, who fall to 4-10 on the season, also celebrated the last home matches for the team's seniors Frances Robinson and Corey McHugh.  Meanwhile, the Panthers improve to 13-4. 

Pamela Larromana

Pamela Jimenez Larromana, a 2012 graduate of Trinity College, joined the St. Lawrence squash staff as an assistant coach in December of 2012.

Larromana was the number one junior national player in Mexico in all junior age rankings, GU-13 GU-15 GU-17 GU-19. The Puerto Vallarta, Mexico native also played in several international tournaments, making it to the semi-finals of the Canadian Junior Open GU-17. She was also a member of Mexico's National Junior team, winning gold and silver medals as a team in the Pan-American Junior Games in Guatemala and Ecuador. She also placed third at individuals.

At Trinity, she finished her four-year career with the Bantams with a 31-12 record and earned All-NESCAC recognition in 2009. She earned her degree in international studies.

 

Saints Fall to Continentals, 9-0

Jan. 30:  The St. Lawrence University women's squash team was swept by Hamilton College, 9-0, on Wednesday night in Clinton, NY.  The Continentals improved to 7-7 while the Saints fell to 5-9 overall.  St. Lawrence will host Middlebury on Feb. 6 at 5:00pm in the Robie Squash Courts. 

Saints Go 1-2 at Smith Round Robin

Jan. 27: The No. 27 St. Lawrence University women's squash team went 1-2 at the Smith Round Robin in Northampton, MA over the weekend. The Saints, now 5-8 on the season, opened with a 9-0 sweep of California Berkley before dropping matches to #28 William Smith and #24 Connecticut College by the scores of 5-4 and 8-1, respectively.

Saints Fall at Yale Invitational

Jan. 21:  The St. Lawrence University women's squash team dropped three matches at the neutral courts of Yale University over the weekend.  The Saints (4-6) were swept by #10 Williams and #21 Colby, though put up a solid effort against #28 Connecticut College before falling 6-3.

Big Red Sweeps Saints, 9-0

Jan. 13: The St. Lawrence University women's squash team was swept by Cornell University, 9-0, on Sunday in Ithaca, NY. The Big Red improved to 6-1 with the win, while the Saints fall to 4-3 on the season.

Saints Swept at Dartmouth Fall Classic

Dec. 2: The No. 26 St. Lawrence University women's squash team was swept by both No. 8 Dartmouth and No. 15 Franklin & Marshall at the Dartmouth Fall Classic over the weekend.
