FYS - Global Francophone Cultures Program Costs
Students participating in the First Year Seminar (FYS) Global Francophone
Cultures Program pay regular St. Lawrence University comprehensive fees. The comprehensive
fee covers tuition, room and board with the homestay families, transportation
from Paris to Rouen, The Sénégal excursion - including the round-trip flights
to Sénégal, and program-integrated field components.
All financial aid, grants and
scholarships apply to the program fee. Contact the Financial Aid Office if you would
like information about additional loans for extra costs associated with studying
on this program.
The fee does not cover:
transportation to Québec or the group
flight to France. An Airfare Assistance form will be included in the acceptance
packet for the Québec to Paris flight.
Students must have a current financial aid form on file to qualify. In
most cases, students must pay the first $750 of the airfare.

A non-refundable first payment of $500
is to be made upon acceptance. The remaining sum must be paid upon receipt of
bills from St. Lawrence University. Participants in a program will have
incurred responsibility for the full cost once they have formally accepted
enrollment. Refunds will be made in accordance with the policy outlined in the
St. Lawrence catalog, less any money that has been paid out on behalf of the
student.
