New Zealand Program Costs
Students participating in the New Zealand program pay regular St. Lawrence University comprehensive fees. The comprehensive fee covers tuition, room and board, fees associated with subjects (labs, etc), student fees, accommodation security deposit, and orientation.
If you receive financial aid, your normal financial aid is applied. Contact the Financial Aid Office if you would like information about additional loans for extra costs associated with studying on this program.
The fee does not cover:
transportation to New Zealand. There is an Airfare Assistance form included in the acceptance packet for the group flight only. Students must have a current financial aid form on file to qualify. In most cases, students must pay the first $750 of the airfare.
MANDATORY New Zealand national health insurance
See Money Matters for more details.
Students receive $800 from St. Lawrence University to offset personal travel to explore Australia and "settling in." See Co-curricular for more information.
A non-refundable first payment of $500 is to be made upon acceptance. The remaining sum must be paid upon receipt of bills from St. Lawrence University. Participants in the program will have incurred responsibility for the full cost once they have formally accepted enrollment. Refunds will be made in accordance with the policy outlined in the St. Lawrence catalog, minus any money that has been paid out on behalf of the student.
