Canaras Rates and Policies 2013

Canaras is for use of:
Official St. Lawrence University functions.
Alumni, faculty and staff of the University and their spouses.
Parents of alumni, faculty, and staff when alumnus, faculty or staff are also in attendance.
Children of alumni, faculty and staff when alumnus, faculty or staff are also in attendance.
2013 Daily Rates Prices include lodging, three meals per day, use of all camp facilities, equipment and gratuity.
Adults - $182.00; Children 6-12 yrs. - $100.00; Children 5 yrs. and under - $70.00. Prices include a standard 15% gratuity.
A $120.00 per person deposit is required and due by February 8, 2013, to confirm reservations. This deposit is refundable until May 1, 2013.
Note: Deposits must be received by February 8, 2013, or within 7 days of receipt of confirmation if booked after February 8, 2013. Full payment must be received within 10 days prior to your arrival. You may also pay by credit card using our online payment form.
Reservations: A reservation form will be mailed out the second week in January to those who vacationed at Canaras during the 2012 eight week "Alumni" season. Once these reservations are received and vacancies occur, we will then begin contacting from the waiting list on a first-reply, first-serve basis.

Guest requests must be made by February 8, 2013 and will be considered and confirmed on an availability basis by March 8, 2013. A confirmed reservation guarantees your lodging at Canaras for the stipulated dates. The camp director reserves the right to change a specific building if necessary.
To assure Canaras covers expenses, empty beds must be kept to a minimum. During weeks of full occupancy, guests are expected to fill their cottage or pay for the vacant rooms in the building they requested, or agree to move to another location.
All campers wishing to bring an additional guest not listed on their reservation form must notify the Camp Director prior to arrival.
Prior to May 20 you must notify Dining & Conference Services at St. Lawrence University (315) 229-5995 if you are forced to cancel. After May 20, you must notify the camp director at (518) 891-4111.
Anyone who cancels or does not reserve space during the 2013 season will not receive an advanced reservation form for the 2014 season. If desired, you will be placed on a waiting list for that year. The purpose of this is to allow others the opportunity to vacation at Canaras.
Reservations for full weeks only (Saturday dinner through Saturday breakfast) will be accepted through June 1, 2013. Availability permitting, after June 1, reservations of 3 or more days will be accepted for the month of July. After July 1, reservations of 3 or more days will be accepted for July and August.
