In Memory: Charlie Scanlon '10.
Class of 2010 economics major CHARLES BROWN SCANLON, son of Bob Scanlon and Carol "Candy" Neville of Shaker Heights, Ohio, died accidentally June 6th, 2009, while climbing Devil's Summit near Mossman, Australia. Charlie was spending a semester abroad at James Cook University in Cairns, AU. He was with three other students at the time of the accident, on a day free from classes. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman, a determined participant in SLU's Outdoor Program, a true athlete, and a talented artist. Charlie graduated in 2006 from University School of Hunting Valley, OH.

Friends and family can visit with Charlie on Tuesday, June 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Brown-Forward Funeral Home, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday June 24 at 4 PM, in The First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland, 3630 Fairmount Blvd., Shaker Heights.
