February 29, 2016

ceramic sculpture in progress

Using the Brush Art Gallery’s current exhibition, 'E is for Elephants: The Etchings of Edward Gorey, as a prompt, students in the Department of Art & Art History’s Senior Seminar were given five weeks to create new work for a pop-up exhibition that will be open for one day only on February 29, 2016.

Titled “#goreyesqueBASTERDS," this temporary exhibition features the work of fifteen students working in a variety of media.  With only one day to install their work, this informal show is meant to inspire and motivate students while also preparing them for their second, more formal capstone exhibition at the end of the spring semester.

The exhibition features the work of Reid Anderson, Chinelo Asanya, Ellen Bischoff, Alanna Blackburn, Gian-Carlo Filippi, Ian Ford, Emma Garfield, Heron Hetzler, Tim Lasusa, Kara Pelosi, Adam Silverstein, Eve Wuthrich, Madeleine Young, Alimot Yusuff, and Liudmila Zaleskaya.
