The people I met at St. Lawrence during my college search really set it apart from other schools I visited. I found that everyone was very outgoing, willing to help, and active both in and out of the classroom. I knew that these were the kind of people I wanted to surround myself with throughout my college years. I was also attracted to the opportunity and encouragement St. Lawrence provides to students to explore and discover new interests as well as to foster old pursuits. It was this kind of support that led to my English minor. Even though I am a Psychology major, I have been able to continue my interest in music by enrolling in music courses, and I have discovered areas like that of Gender Studies.
I have had many wonderful experiences here at St. Lawrence including spending a summer in Canton while interning with the Admissions Office, going abroad to Denmark, and participating on the varsity women's crew team. Although I do not have a specific career in mind for the future, I am confident that I am building the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in any of my future endeavors.
