Jayantha Jayman
Jayantha Jayman, holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and political science from Denison University and a master’s degree in political economy and international development from the University of Toronto. He earned a doctorate in international relations from the London School of Economics.
He received the AFS International/Intercultural award to the United States as well as a Monbusho Award to study in Japan.
focuses on international political economy and international relations. Dr. Jayman is interested in North-South relations, especially the roles of hegemonic powers such as Japan and the United States. Previously, he was a research assistant professor with the Institute of Global and Cultural Studies at the University of BirminghamJayman, who was born in Sri Lanka, grew up in Ethiopia, Sri Lanka and Pittsburgh. He then lived in Canada for more than 15 years.
Jayman enjoys tennis, soccer, volleyball, softball and cricket. He used to play chess at a competitive level.
