Health and Counseling Winter Break Hours
December 22 – January 7: There will not be an on—call counselor available. If you are experiencing an emergency and you are off campus, please go to your nearest emergency room. If you are on campus, your options include contacting Safety & Security at 229-5555, the hotline at Reachout of St. Lawrence County at 265-2422, or Canton Rescue/Canton Potsdam Hospital at 265-3300.
January 7 – 18th: Counseling appointments are available but must be scheduled through a counselor. The Counseling Center staff will not be available for walk-ins. If you would like to speak with a counselor about a non-emergent issue, please call the Health & Counseling Center voicemail at 229-5392 and leave a message with your name and phone number.
The Health Center will have limited staff and availability during Winter Break. If you experience a health emergency, please dial 911 or contact Safety & Security at 229-5555. Healthcare for urgent, but non-emergency, problems is available evenings and weekends at Canton-Potsdam Hospital's "Afterhours Healthcare", which is located near campus in the E.J. Noble Center at 80 East Main Street. Their hours are Monday - Friday 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM , Saturday 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Afterhours Healthcare phone number is (315) 386-3300. Students assume financial responsibility for these services.
