Eric Richardson joined St. Lawrence University’s Office of Institutional Research (IR) in September of 2014. He reports to the Director of Institutional Research with a dotted line to the Manager of Maintenance and Software Development. Eric’s current responsibilities include providing technical, organizational, and statistical support for a broad range of data analysis and assessment needs, as well as maintain the IR data warehouse. He also has primary responsibility for data reporting and web development.
Prior to joining St. Lawrence, Eric worked in the world of experimental nuclear physics. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park. Eric conducted his dissertation research into the asymmetry of emitted particles from high energy nuclear collisions at Brookhaven National Laboratory as a member of the PHENIX Experiment. After graduating, Eric joined Indiana University, Bloomington, as a postdoctoral researcher, where he worked on the development of a novel radiation detector.
