Government Documents at the SLU Libraries

The St. Lawrence University Libraries are a Selective Federal Depository Library, and as such serves to provide access to and services for the Federal Depository Library program as required by 44 U.S.C. 19.

The United States Government has converted most of its publications including census and statistical publications to online formats.  The Canadian Federal Government has ceased publishing print material.  Our government documents  collections are  on the lower level of ODY, on the west side of the building facing Park Street.

Legislative database of the Library of Congress, for searching both the US Code and bills before Congress. Also a source for the Congressional Record, committee assignments, and bill tracking. 

Budget of the United States Government
From 1996 to the present.

Legal Information Institute
Cornell University sponsored collection of Federal and State Codes, includes United States Supreme Court Decisions.

Internal Revenue Service
Complete Federal tax information and forms

New York State
Information from the Governor’s Office and all state agencies
