  • Part of the World Newspaper Archive, this online collection provides access to more than 60 searchable African newspapers published in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Featuring English- and foreign-language titles from Angola, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

  • An international, collaborative initiative building an online digital library of scholarly resources from and about Africa.  Resource types range from full-text books and academic articles to news clippings, periodicals, archival documents, photographs, letters, previously unpublished reports, maps, pamphlets, oral histories, and other historical documents. There are currently two collections; African Cultural Heritage Sites and Landscapes, and Struggles for Freedom in Southern Africa.

  • This resource covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada), focusing on the 15th century forward. Provides indexing of historical articles in over 40 languages dating back to 1955.
