Each individual archive within Nineteenth Century Collections Online presents the raw materials scholars require for their research needs.

NewspaperDirect PressDisplay

Provides instant online access to today's newspapers from around the world in full-color, full-page format.  The collection currently includes more than 1,200 U.S. and international titles—from 94 countries in 48 languages. Just like reading the familiar print edition, viewers can browse articles and other key content, such as pictures, advertisements, classifieds, and notices. The service also provides up to a 60-day backfile and the ability to perform keyword searches across all titles and the entire backfile.

Center for Research Libraries

Located in Chicago, CRL collects and preserves archival documents from developing regions such as Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America. CRL currently houses over five million journals, newspapers, government documents, archives and dissertations produced primarily outside of the United States. Faculty and students at member institutions are invited to borrow these materials for three month loan periods, with unlimited renewals. CRL also offers Collaborative Collection Development. Scholars are encouraged to recommend additions to the collection for Board review.
