Professor of Spanish Steven F. White spoke about the second revised edition of his book El mundo más que humano en la poesía de Pablo Antonio Cuadra at the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua in León on October 15. This study of the poetry of Pablo Antonio Cuadra (1912-2002), one of Nicaragua's most renowned writers, focuses on the relationship between literature and the physical environment. Cuadra wrote extensively about the flora, the fauna and the indigenous myths of his geographically-diverse country. At the same event, Prof. White also presented the CD El mundo verde también tiene voz (The Green World also Has a Voice) that consists of more than fifty ecological poems by White and contemporary Nicaraguan poet Esthela Calderón.
