Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead
Assistant Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead has been selected by the critically acclaimed Tectonic Theatre Project in New York to direct a staged reading of their new play, Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays at Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake on November 7.

Tectonic Theatre selected a group of directors and invited them to produce readings of the play on the same evening in locations across the United States. In addition to casting professional actors from Pendragon's year-round company, she has cast Associate Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Traci Fordham and Catherine Kervick '13 in the reading. Visiting Assistant Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Zachary Dorsey will serve as dramaturg; Production Manager Drew Maciula will be the technical director and Dylan Spicer '13 will be assistant technical director.

Gardinier Halstead is also in the cast of the independent film Dissection of an Olive, which premieres Monday, October 24, at the Roxy Theater in Potsdam as part of the Cinema 10 Fall series. Also featuring Visiting Assistant Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Chris Clarke and Craig Conroy '10, the film was written and directed by Summer Dorr.
