Assistant Professor of Geology
Antun Husinec has been appointed to the Geological Society of America's Committee on Research Grants as Member-at-Large, for the term July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2012.
The committee consists of 24 voting members, serving three-year terms. Its primary function is to evaluate the research grant applications received, by delegation of the Council's authority and within the limits of the research grants budget, and to award specific grants to chosen recipients.
Established in 1888, the Geological Society of America provides access to elements that are essential to the professional growth of earth scientists at all levels of expertise and from all sectors: academic, government, business, and industry. As of 2007, the society has over 21,000 members in more than 85 countries.
