Whitehead Part of Episcopal Church Inaugural Events
St. Lawrence University Associate Chaplain the Rev. Shaun Whitehead co-led “The Bible for Nones: Sights and Sounds of Scripture,” one of several workshops that were part of an Episcopal Church inaugural event.
“Restoring the Biblical Imagination,” a celebration of the inauguration of the Federation of Bexley Hall and Seabury Western Theological Seminary and the Installation of the Rev. Dr. Roger Albert Ferlo, took place April 26-27 in Indianapolis.
Whitehead joined one of her Doctor of Ministry professors, the Rev. Dr. John Dally and her seminary president, the Rev. Dr. Frank Yamada in a workshop that immersed participants in images and sound to make scripture appeal to the heart as well as the mind. The workshop encouraged participants to learn new ways to begin conversations about the Bible with the growing number of Americans who do not identify with any religion.
