A St. Lawrence student will present the results of research he conducted for an honors thesis in geology at the joint meeting of the Geological Society of America Northeastern Section and the Atlantic Geoscience Society.

Joshua Taylor '03, of Otego, New York, will make the presentation at the meeting, held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, March 27-29. "Origin and Subsequent Modification of K-Feldspar Megacysts with the Gray's School Body of the Hermon Gneiss, Adirondack Lowlands, New York," presented with Associate Professor of Geology John Bursnall, examines the possibility of magmatic crystallization, metasomatism and metamorphic recrystallization in the rock.

Taylor was a 2002 Baker University Fellow, also conducting research in geology with Bursnall. He plans graduate study in geology.
