Traci Fordham Hernandez

Associate Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Traci Fordham Hernandez will give a talk titled "Mixed Race, White Mother: Love & Identity in the Age of Obama," on Tuesday, March 22, at 4 p.m. in the eighth-floor lounge of Raymond Hall at SUNY Potsdam, as part of the 2010-11 Women's and Gender Studies Anne R. Malone Lecture Series. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

In the talk, Fordham Hernandez will discuss her research on discourses of "mixed raciality" in the U.S., and a manuscript she is working on, on the Rotary International Youth Exchange program and how this organization teaches global citizenship and intercultural communication to U.S. and foreign teachers.

The Women's and Gender Studies Lecture Series is sponsored by a grant from the Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley and is given in memory of Anne R. Malone.
