St. Lawrence News

NetNews

Several St. Lawrence graduates are involved in the formation of a new group that hopes to connect young adults from inside and outside of the Adirondack Park in support of the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, while also supporting the region.

The idea for the group, called Wings, came from David Bickford '00, who is one of four University alumni on the Wings steering committee. A story about the group in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise quoted Bickford saying, "We're really trying to give back. We're trying to support the museum. We want to keep the museum in the community forever."

Also on the steering committee for the group are Ed '02 and Emily Hunt Forbes '04, and Lisa Grabe Taffe '99. Several events, both at the Wild Center and in other locations that will allow participants to meet and network, have already been planned.

More information is available on the Wild Center Web site.
