SLU alum awarded research grant from Autism Speaks

Becca Klar ’10 was recently awarded a research grant from Autism Speaks to fund her studies of the involvement of metabotropic glutamate receptor 7 in Rett Syndrome at Vanderbilt University where she is currently a doctoral student.  Becca graduated with Honors in Neuroscience from SLU, beginning her research endeavors as a junior in studying the application of antioxidants to a mouse model of multiple sclerosis with Dr. Kari Heckman.  For more information about Becca’s work:
