St. Lawrence Takes Gold and Bronze CASE Awards

St. Lawrence University has received high praise from a national professional organization that serves higher educational institutions for both its in-house publications and its use of social media.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) 2014 Circle of Excellence Awards recognized St. Lawrence’s University Communications with a gold medal in the In-House Print Publications category and a bronze medal in the Best Uses of Social Media category.

"We are pleased to be acknowledged for this piece and this program," said Jeff Rickey, vice president and dean of Admissions and Financial Aid and interim vice president of University Communications. "We always present St. Lawrence authentically and persuasively and these awards are a bonus."

Circle of Excellence is an international awards program that recognizes the work of CASE members, acknowledging superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results.

The University’s 2012-13 admissions viewbook was selected for the in-house publications award, while the University’s Instagram account, @herewegosaints, which relies on student photographers, was selected for the social media award category.

In December, St. Lawrence’s student recruitment package won the CASE Gold Award for District II, which represents Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states, Ontario, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
