I hope to pursue a career in medicine or biomedical research. At St. Lawrence, I work as a Community Assistant for the Office of Residence Life. Apart from being a part of the training committee, I have been active in spreading the word on campus about residence life services, goals and future projects like the new residence hall. Being a CA has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my time here at SLU that has provided a supportive, encouraging and loving space. It’s about building community, connections and friendships with people and striving to make a positive impact and give back to a campus that has given me so much. I have always been interested in meeting new people, learning from them, and appreciating what they have to offer. In addition, I believe that the experience continues to be a wonderful opportunity that has many responsibilities, but has been very satisfying, rewarding, and strongly impacted me as an individual here at St. Lawrence and in the larger society.
In addition, I remain busy as an Information Desk Assistant and Judicial Advocate for the Office of Student Life & Leadership, a student delegate to both the Alumni Council and the University Advancement Tri-Parte Committee, a NYS certified mediator, President of the SLU Buddies Program, Public Relations Chair for the Campus Kitchens Project, a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and a sister of the Chi Omega sorority. I spent the summer of 2012 in Denmark studying the Neuroscience of Fear and recently led a Spring Break trip to NYC for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
