ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CAREER SERVICES

St. Lawrence University is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Director of Career Services. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed but team-oriented individual with high energy, professionalism, and a sense of humor. The ability to organize events with an attention to detail and to reach and motivate students will be essential to success in this position. Leading the coordination of Career Services’ major programs and events as well as individual undergraduate student advising will be central to this position.

Qualifications: A master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Student Development, or related field and career services experience, preferably in a liberal arts residential setting, are required. Experience in individual career advising focusing on career assessment, resume design and construction, and interview preparation will be strongly considered as will experience in large event planning and workshop design and presentation.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2008.
