St. Lawrence University’s Department of Performance and Communication Arts invites applications for a one-year, full-time appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Communication, beginning August 2014. The successful candidate will teach entry-level courses such as Public Speaking and Introduction to Communication Studies, as well as upper-level rhetoric/communication studies courses in her/his area of expertise. Teaching load: 3-3. Preference will be given to candidates who use broad and integrated approaches to study human communication, who can document a record of excellence in teaching undergraduate students, and who successfully address issues of difference in their teaching. Candidates with Ph.D. in hand preferred, but ABD candidates may be considered.
