Jeff R. Cook, Jr. is the president of Wendling Strategies, a firm committed to sustainable solutions for communities, agencies, corporations and organizations through the energies and talents of people using cutting-edge management strategies. Mr. Cook’s experience, wisdom and network come from his thirty-five year work in starting and building The Environmental Careers Organization (ECO). ECO was a national, non-profit education, training and leadership development organization. This was accomplished through intern programs, national conferences, diversity initiatives, leadership institutes, on campus seminars, web site, publications and an alumni network of 11,000 people. Mr. Cook has won numerous citations and awards, is a frequent speaker on the environmental workforce, the non-profit sector and social entrepeneurism and serves on the boards of several foundations and non-profit organizations. St. Lawrence has recognized him for his groundbreaking work with its Alumni Citation (1991) and an honorary degree (2005) and for his athleticism with his induction into their Athletic Hall of Fame (1997).
