Tracey Tallman enters her second season as an assistant coach for the St. Lawrence men’s and women’s crew teams for the 2008-2008 season. Tallman enjoyed a successful four year rowing career at the University of Minnesota. The Saratoga Springs, NY native was undefeated her freshman year and competed in the Big Ten Championships for the first novice 8. Because of her efforts, she was voted novice MVP at the end of her freshman campaign. As a junior, Tallman won Minnesota’s first varsity gold medal at the Big Ten championships in the first varsity four. In her final year as a Gopher, the team won the Big Ten Championships, and Tallman was a member of the second varsity four that won gold. She participated in NCAAs in 2007, where the University of Minnesota placed sixth overall. At Saratoga Springs High School, Tallman earned a varsity letter for rowing. She also competed in the Saratoga Rowing Association for three years.

Kathryn Hagglund
Assistant Crew Coach
Following one of the most successful seasons in the history of the St. Lawrence University crew program, the Saints welcome University of Louisville graduate Kathryn Hagglund to the staff as an assistant coach for the 2008-2009 campaign.
A 2008 graduate, Hagglund served as team captain for the Cardinals from 2006 to 2008. She was on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll throughout her four years and was a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar Athlete in 2007. Between practices, she was an active member of the local community, as she volunteered for Habitat for Humanity as well as the Fit4Me program. Hagglund was also a member of the University of Louisville’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee and received her bachelor of sciences degree in health & human performance with a concentration in exercise science.
Hagglund also brings some coaching experience into her first year at St. Lawrence, as she spent her summers working in her hometown of London, Ontario at the London Rowing Club, where she served as an administrator and as the Learn to Row instructor and coach. Most recently, she became the head coach for the competitive and masters program.
