At South County Secondary

Soto was a four-year starter for the soccer team, where he lead the players with most assists throughout most of his tenure. He helped his club team earn three state club titles and went to five Virginia state cup finals. Soto was an Olympic Developmental Program participant and was a U.S. U-17 national pool selection in 2007-2008. He trained and played in Spain throughout the summers and was awarded Best Defensive Player of the Season. His efforts off the field are notable, as he was a member of the Spanish Honor Society and was recognized in honor every quarter throughout his last three years.
