Denise Durant elected trustee
Dr. Denise M. Durant, a 1997 graduate of St. Lawrence University, has been elected a McCurdy-Sprague Trustee of the University. McCurdy-Sprague Trustees must have graduated from St. Lawrence between two and 10 years prior to their election, and serve four-year terms. For more
Professors Pai and Chiarenzelli receive funds for regional research projects
Two St. Lawrence University science professors have been granted awards from SUNY Potsdam's Center for Regional Research and Community Education's T. Urling and Mabel Walker Fellowship Program for North Country-based research projects. Undergraduate students will assist with each of the projects. For more

Schultz '82 named exec at arts center
Stephen Schultz '82 has been named executive director of the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Schultz brings to the post over 20 years of senior executive management experience from both public and private companies, which includes expertise in marketing, communications, public/media relations, fundraising and long-range strategic planning. He will oversee the Center's approximately $1 million annual budget and 19 full and part-time employees. For more

A new book by Floyd Sandford '61 is described as "the entertaining, often humorous, memoirs and adventures of a Peace Corps science teacher, living, traveling and working in Nigeria, West Africa, in the 60's." For more
