Shaunie Cadieux '12 will write periodic articles about her life as a first year student, and has started a blog. Here's an excerpt of her most recent entry: To say the least, getting a solid eight-hours of sleep is becoming more difficult, and I've never been more aware of how much of a skill time management really is. This realization is something I've come to think of as a defining aspect of the difference between high-school and college. I've never had to balance so much at once! Two of Shaunie's articles are posted on the Web. The first describes her experiences in the Higher Education Opportunity Program summer orientation and the second shares the thoughts of fellow first-time voters as they participate in the national election.
New podcast: This week we feature the Writer's Series event with Jennifer Egan. Last week, we had 3 new podcasts: an interview with Dana Professor of Economics Steve Horwitz on the economic crisis, the recent Laurentians in Residence panel, and the recent Poetry for Peace event. SLU Live! includes features such as the Laurentian
Singers performing our school songs, recording of the Bacheller
Memorial Chimes, links to our admissions video,
our photo albums, our student blogs, and our Web cam.

Interactive Web Cam! Our new Web Cam allows you to adjust the view to see a real-time panorama of a section of campus! One person at a time can control the camera. Each person has a minimum of 20 seconds to interact with the camera. If other users log on, your turn will conclude after 20 seconds. But if you are the only user, your turn will be extended until others want to explore. If you can't log on immediately, it's because others are in the queue. But try again in a few minutes! Directions for control of the camera are on web page. You will need Java installed to view this feature. If you don't have Java, you can download it here.
