Col. Timothy LaBarge '83 To Command Air National Guard Wing
Col. Timothy LaBarge '83, of Tupper Lake, will become the new commander of the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing during a change-of-command ceremony at the Stratton Air National Guard Base, Scotia, on June 12.

Grace Potter'06--sweet!
Lake Champlain Chocolates (LCC), is breaking their confectionery mold by teaming with a rock ‘n roll band for the first time in their 27 year history. Inspired by Vermont’s tradition of bold collaborations, the spicy chocolate bar “Grace Under Fire” was created with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. And, CPN is scheduled to appear on "Good Morning America" June 15!
Article Co-Authored By Whitcavitch-DeVoy '90 Wins Award
An article co-authored by Julia Whitcavitch-DeVoy '90 won the 2009 Article of the year award from the National Career Development Association. The article, "The Psychology of Working: A New Frame-work for Counseling Practice and Public Policy," was published in the Career Development Quarterly research journal.

The Challenge is On! Settle the Score!
St. Lawrence University and Hobart and William Smith Colleges have challenged each other to see who can bring in the most alumni donors during the month of June.    You can track St. Lawrence’s progress on the challenge website, You can also watch the video produced by our own Chelsea Nuffer ’10 that takes a look at how the HWS – SLU competition plays itself out on the athletic field.

St. Lawrence University Baseball Coach Tom Fay has announced his retirement after a 38-year career as a coach and educator. Fay, who holds the St. Lawrence record for career coaching victories with 522 in his 37 seasons, joined the St. Lawrence staff as baseball coach and an assistant football coach in the fall of 1972. Read more.

The St. Lawrence University women's crew team's Varsity 8+ boat has been named the 2010 Liberty League Crew of the Year.  It is the third consecutive season the Saints top boat has earned the award, while head coach Nick Hughes and his staff was named the conference's Coaching Staff of the Year for the third straight year as well.
