Men's soccer opened with the Lotto Tournament title at Clarkson, after beating Roberts Wesleyan 2-0 and Houghton 1-0. Women's soccer had the same results at the same tournament at MacAllaster Field, downing Laselle 2-0 and Geneseo 1-0. Field hockey hosted a tournament and placed third, dropping a tough 3-2 decision to Oneonta in the first round before trouncing Utica 5-1 in the consolation game. Volleyball went 2-2 at the Cortland Classic, downing Montclair State and Vassar, and losing to Nazareth and Fredonia. Football stayed close to nationally ranked Ithaca through the first three quarters, trailing 13-3, but ended up suffering a 33-3 defeat in Mark Raymond's debut as head coach.
