The Commencement web site has been updated with facts about the ceremony and graduates; texts of speeches delivered; and a photo album. Video of the ceremony and audio files of speeches will be added later this week.

|Murphy '11 Selected for Geology Field Seminar
John T. Murphy, Jr. '11, of Carthage, NY, has been selected to participate in the third annual Geological Society of America/ExxonMobil Bighorn Basin Field Seminar in Wyoming. The selective program for faculty and students emphasizes multidisciplinary integrated basin analysis.

St. Lawrence's Commencement was featured in stories on YNN (Channel10), WWNY-TV (Channel 7) and Northern New York Newspapers, including the Watertown Daily Times.
|The Watertown Daily Times published letters to the editor by conservation biology students Kristi Onzik '11, about habitat fragmentation, and Katie Oram '11, about genetically modified food. A letter by Hannah Follender '11 was published in North Country This Week.
|The May 7, 2011 edition of the Watertown Daily Times included a feature story about students who ring the chapel's bells.
|The Project for Peace initiated by Grace Ochieng' '12 was featured in a story
in the Nairobi, Kenya, Standard on May 20, 2011.

Student-Athletes Honored at Awards Dinner
The St. Lawrence University Athletic Department honored its senior student-athletes at its annual awards dinner. Seniors Wendy Pavlus, Dan Ramsey, Jordyn Buzza, Jeremy Mwenda, Chris Funch and Caitlin Estes earned awards, while Associate Athletic Director Randy LaBrake, Men's Soccer Head Coach Bob Durocher and Head Football Coach Mark Raymond were also recognized. Mike Hurlbut '89 has been named associate coach of the men's hockey team, and men's hockey is one of four ECAC Hockey men's programs and one of six Division I men's programs nationally recognized by the NCAA for its Academic Progress Rate (APR).
